Dragos Roua ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Just 5 Words mobile application (the "App"). Your privacy matters, and we've designed this app to protect it.

Our Privacy Commitment

Just 5 Words processes everything on your device. Story generation and image creation use Apple Intelligence, which runs locally on your iPhone or iPad. Your words, stories, and images never leave your device unless you choose to share them.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

  • Your selected words or generated stories
  • Generated images
  • Names, email addresses, or contact information
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data

On-Device Processing

Just 5 Words uses Apple Intelligence for AI features:

  • Story Generation: Uses Apple's Writing Tools API, processed entirely on-device
  • Image Generation: Uses Apple's Image Playground, processed entirely on-device

No data is sent to external servers for AI processing. Apple Intelligence requires iOS 18.4+ and compatible hardware.

What Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device:

  • App preferences (default image style, modifiers, perspectives)
  • Saved stories and images (in your local hallucination store)
  • Subscription status

This data is not transmitted to us or any third party.

Subscriptions

When you purchase a Pro subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation that a subscription is active — we do not receive your name, Apple ID, payment method, or any personal details.

Advertising

The free version of Just 5 Words displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

  • Device advertising identifier (IDFA)
  • General location (country/region level)
  • Device information (model, OS version)

Pro subscribers see no ads, and no advertising data is collected for them.

You can limit ad tracking in your device's Settings > Privacy > Advertising.

Third-Party Services

  • Apple App Store: Processes subscriptions
  • RevenueCat: Manages subscription entitlements (receives anonymous app user ID only)
  • Google AdMob: Displays ads (free users only)

We do not use analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or social media integrations.

Data Sharing

You can share your generated stories and images using the system share sheet. When you do, you control where the content goes — we have no access to or record of what you share.

Data Deletion

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to delete on our end. To remove all app data from your device:

  • Delete individual stories/images within the app
  • Or uninstall the app to remove all local data

Children's Privacy

Just 5 Words is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Our commitment to on-device processing will not change.
